Big Books

Early Growth Indicators Benchmark Assessment

Administered three times during the year, this scientific assessment (developed by the same group that created DIBELS) evaluates children's growth on the five key literacy and math skills critical to success in Kindergarten:

• letter recognition
• oral language and vocabulary
• number sense.

This assessment is easily administered, and reporting student progress is simple and convenient. In addition, further suggestions for modifying instruction are provided.

Oral Language Cards

Oral Language Cards provide motivating images that spark oral discussions and vocabulary development. Each card provides teachers with additional suggestions and tips so that they don’t need to refer to the teacher’s book while they teach the lesson.
